What can I say about ShelBeez......!? Well after months of trying to get here, I finally had my opportunity. Saw ShelBeez on a basketball trip back in late 2023. I called the restaurant repeatedly over the course of my few days in town....I even drove over and to no avail...Closed! I checking online for updates and nothing. Fast forward a few months, and I back in town for basketball. First thing I do is call the restaurant.... and to my surprise... no answer! Instant sadness sets in again. I'm tired of looking at these pictures online..I need to try the food. A minute or so later, my phone rings and its ShelBeez!!! I confirmed the hours of operation and made it to priority to stop in right after they open!
When we arrive, we're greeted by a young lady at the counter. She was very friendly and made some suggestions for us, even though we already had made up minds about what we wanted to try. We ordered the baked chicken, baked turkey wings, burger and fries, Mac and cheese, cabbage, collard greens, corn bread, and the recommended carrot soufflé. After months of waiting, it took about 15 minutes for the order to come. When I picked the order up, I told the young Lady that I was in town a few months ago. I repeatedly tried to visit the restaurant and she said during my last visit they shut down due to the birth of her child.....(congratulations to the new baby!) I was like ooooohhh that makes sense to me... lol. We shared a laugh... I snatched up the food to go see what was really up! All I can say is the 4 month wait was definitely worth it! The chicken and turkey wings fell off the bone.... the meat was so tender, it melted with barley chewing. The Mac and Cheese was on point.. just right! The cabbage and collard greens had a little kick but it was just right. The corn bread was perfect the burger was said "to be one of the best they'd had!" That was from a picky teenager. Last but not least.... this CARROT SOUFFLÉ! What type of sorcery did they put on these carrots!? We've never had carrot soufflé before, and it didn't disappoint! It reminded me of a milder sweet potato soufflé, but different.... like good different. Overall everyone was impressed with ShelBeez! All I want to say is if you haven't been.... then go! if you know about Shelbeez, then you know! Can't wait to eat here again!

I found this soul food restaurant from Uber Eats Everything was delicious. I had the baked chicken potatoes salad and yams. Which was seasoned perfect. Also ordered livers and onion Mac and cheese and collards greens. Everything was seasoned just right very tasty. Finally found a soul food restaurant with real homemade Mac and cheese. I also came in for take out and the environment was very clean. Friendly staff super down to earth and professional. Definitely will be going back. The only thing I was not a fan of was the Carolina BBQ needed more vinegar and it was over cooked where is was mushy but I would definitely be willing to try another day to see if it was just that one time. Also had a slice of the lemon cake 😋 very moist and tasty.

If you are looking for some good quick soul food this the place . My first time ever eating here and I did take out from hampton. Ans baby I was not disappointed the food was flavor to perfection 😋. Go try them out. Liver and onions with mac green beans

Great customer. Food was crazy good fish was on point, the collard greens was out of this world with a splash of hot sauce. The Mac & cheese was good n the banana pudding was good thanks to the wafers

I went this evening customer service was good food was amazing this the 1st spot Ive been to out here that I can Finally compare to my home Town food of Chicago I’ve been Here a lil over a month & it’s so hard to find good food but I will def be back here I spent 26$ & it was well worth it😉 def try them out it took about 10 -15 mins for my food as well I ordered the turkey leg dinner it came with rice & 2 sides of your choice I chose greens,Mac & cheese & I ordered a xtra side of yams & a slice of corn bread & for desert home made lemon cake it was so flavorful & delicious.
