⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars – A Hidden Gem That’ll Win Your Heart and Your Taste Buds!
If you haven’t been to JMT Vegan Eats at 5660 Indian River Rd Suite 110 in Virginia Beach yet you are truly missing out on something special. The moment you step inside you can feel the warmth not just from the kitchen but from the people. The staff greet you like family the space feels bright and cozy and there’s this undeniable sense of care that fills the air. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, laugh, and just enjoy good food made with real love. I decided to go all in and ordered two milkshakes the Vanilla and the Oreo and let me tell you they were nothing short of amazing. The vanilla shake was creamy, smooth, and perfectly sweet like the kind of milkshake you dream about on a hot day. But the Oreo shake pure heaven. Thick, rich, and packed with that perfect cookies and cream crunch. It was indulgent in the best way possible and the fact that it’s completely vegan blew my mind. You don’t miss dairy here you forget it ever existed. Then came the Philly Vegan Steak and honestly I still can’t stop thinking about it. The steak was tender and flavorful with perfectly sautéed peppers and onions that gave every bite the ideal mix of sweetness and spice. The texture was so spot on, you’d swear you were eating the real thing only lighter and more satisfying. It’s comfort food with a conscience and it’s absolutely delicious. Next up was the burger and wow JMT really knows how to do it right. The patty was juicy and flavorful cooked to perfection and paired with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, and a soft, slightly toasted bun. Every bite was balanced messy in the best kind of way and bursting with flavor. It’s the kind of burger that makes you pause mid meal just to appreciate how good it is. You can tell the chef puts heart into every single plate that leaves that kitchen. For dessert, I tried both the cupcakes and a strawberry sprinkle doughnut, and they were pure happiness in dessert form. The cupcakes were moist, fluffy, and topped with silky frosting that melted in your mouth. Then the doughnut soft, sweet, and topped with pink icing and colorful sprinkles was like a burst of nostalgia and joy all at once. You could tell each treat was made with care and love the kind of desserts that make you smile with every bite. Overall, JMT Vegan Eats is more than just a restaurant it’s an experience. The food is phenomenal, the service is full of heart, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you belong there. Every dish from the shakes to the Philly steak, the burgers to the sweets, tells a story of passion and purpose. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply a fan of incredible food, you’ll leave JMT Vegan Eats not just full, but genuinely happy. It’s the kind of place you’ll think about long after you’ve left and you’ll already be planning your next visit before you even walk out the door. Trust me once you go, you’ll be counting the days until you can go back.

My family and I are Plantbased and decided to try this restaurant. My husband and I got the “Philly cheese sandwich, he got a double cheeseburger, and our kids got hot dogs. Oh my goodness it was so good. We loved the flavor and touch of spice. The milkshake and the cupcakes are delicious. I have been telling all my Plantbased peeps about this. If ever we end up in Virginia, we will definitely go back. The family is also warm and friendly.

I cannot say enough good things! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home—so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do.
Everything we ordered was fantastic. The seasoned fries were crispy and full of flavor—seriously amazing. We tried both the cheesesteaks (season chicken & jerk steak), and they were so good—savory, satisfying, and packed with bold, delicious spices. The jerk had a spicy kick that was just right. The milkshakes were the perfect ending—creamy, smooth, and totally hit the spot without any dairy.
It’s always special to support a place where you can feel the heart behind the food. If you’re in the area—vegan or not—this spot is a must-visit!

It is a small black owned family vegan business. They were so kind and fun they made us feel as if we were part of the family. They were them selves and weren't faking the customer service. Sadly they are only opened on the weekends because they don't have enough business coming through to open on the week days. They do catering. They make vegan ice cream from scratch no soy. They make their desserts from scratch. They are responsibly priced. I got a Ramen set with all the toppings, the rice with plant based chicken and jerk steak with two sides which I got Mac and cheese and well seasoned fries. And my friend got the vegan salmon patty I believe with her two sides. And one scoop of home made vegan ice cream vanilla flavored. Around $60 so about $20 per item. They have different kinds of vegan instant Ramen that you can prepare yourself and they give you veggies to put inside. They have board games and a TV. It's a small inimate place. Show them some love support their business really delicious food and kind people. And I don't play when it comes to my food I am big foodie but even days after storing my food it taste really good and my co worker said it smelled fire.

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I just started our vegan journey and decided to give JMT Vegan Eats a try. We got turned around and arrived very late-- just a few minutes before they closed. Not only did they stay open late to accommodate us, but they were incredibly kind and welcoming. This is a family-run business, primarily managed by their amazing children, who won a youth Shark Tank contest for their vegan ice cream. The parents kept us company while their teen/young adult kids prepared the most amazing vegan sandwiches we have ever tasted. I had the burger, and my husband had the Philly Cheese steak. We were practically licking our fingers after our meal. :-) Even before switching to a vegan diet, I had long given up cheese due to lactose intolerance. But since their cheese is, of course, dairy-free, I decided to indulge. I am not sure what they put in that cheese sauce, but it was amazing.
I highly recommend this for anyone who just likes good food. Honestly, you would not know the food was vegan. It's also great for people who can't have dairy but still want to enjoy all the yummy goodness of ice cream, shakes, and more. My husband has a severe shellfish allergy, so we can't wait to try their vegan crab cakes. Please give them a try and bring your friends. You will not be disappointed!
