This place was a pleasant surprise. Being a native of Portsmouth, I have seen businesses in this location come and go. Judging the food I got Friday, they deserve to grow and be in a more accessible location. I got the fish and shrimp to as a litmus test to see what they're working with. Wow, honestly wasn't expecting much.WRONG. The fish was very well seasoned and we asked them to fry it a lil hard and she did just that. The shrimp were nice sized and cooked perfectly. The fries...good, but cheesy broccoli bites are hitting. They gave enuff food for my money so I was happy. I let myself down by not taking pictures like I usually do, but I'll be back within a week or two so I can start going down the menu. I truly hope that they are able to get some place where they can really be seen.
Ordered the fish and fries you can sell that grease needed to be changed. The fish was very hard and also the fries they refuse to refund my money. They said they could just remake the food which would be the same outcome. Customer service is horrible especially for it to be a small own business times a hard right now money is hard to come by and it's not fair that a company will treat you as such as the support and their
The fish and shrimp we ordered was cooked so hard they dried it out. The grease needs to be changed as well .The only good thing was the crab cake. The macaroni bites were made with cheap craft macaroni and it has no cheese in them at all. It was also dry. The food overall was extremely salty. This was my first time trying this place because my husband used to go to the food truck when the business first started and spoke so highly of this place, but this is a huge disappointment and a waste of $60 and I will NOT be back.
I ordered fish shrimp and fries about 845 from DoorDash. My food came very cold. Grease was very old and the fish was all the food was just old overall I contacted Byron or Chef skip he was so rude. He told me I had no business coming in his establishment, asking questions. He's not a corporate restaurant, as if that meant anything different. If anything, a small business person like him should be more understanding he was not there. He spoke to me over the phone while two of his staff witnessed the old food and one of the staff agreed that the grease was old. He told me I need to go through DoorDash, which DoorDash told me I needed to go to the restaurant I would never order from this restaurant again, all behind the owners professionalism
My entire kitchen smells like burnt something burnt. The Mac and cheese balls taste like Kraft in a box like it was bought premade. Yuck. All fried foods tasted burnt. Very disappointed. I had been looking at them for years. The banana pudding was NOTHING to write home. Best bet is to go somewhere else. Now I have to find dinner somewhere. I won’t be going back.
